Shipboard and Marine Laundries
No laundry equipment manufacturer has more experience in the shipboard and marine industry than EDRO Corporation. EDRO DynaWash® washer-extractors and M-SERIES tumbler dryers are the brand of choice for naval
and commercial cruise line main shipboard laundries throughout the world. With such prestigious clients as the U.S. Navy and Carnival Corporation, EDRO has developed an
unprecedented list of shipboard and marine installations including the latest in the Nimitz class CNV-77 USS George H.W. Bush, the world's most formidable nuclear powered air craft carrier, as
well as the world's most famous cruise liner, Cunard's Queen Mary 2. EDRO DynaWash® washer-extractors and M-SERIES tumbler dryers are tough, reliable workhorses for
laundries which need to produce a clean wash at lowest cost. Shipboard and Marine models operate with the latest in Human Machine Interface
technology. Software specific operating systems based on EDRO proprietary ELC washing logic allows for the most intuitive operator interface available, yet
providing programming security and managerial reporting for washroom efficiency. The precise function of the controls mean consistent results, while
the machine designs save on occupied machine space and water consumption. Several models are available in modular construction to allow for installation
in and through tight ship quarters.
U.S. NAVY CARRIER FLEETS, SURFACE SHIP COMBATANTS SUBMARINES
The U.S. Navy utilizes EDRO DynaWash® 20 to 200- pound capacity three pocket washer-extractors and 20 to 110-pound M-SERIES tumbler dryers for surface
shipboard laundries, and the ultra compact DS16-SUB and M16-SUB specifically designed for submarine laundries. The equipment installed on aircraft carriers
provide laundry service for up to 6,000 personnel on a daily basis. During a standard six month deployment, aircraft carrier laundries will operate 16 to 20
hours per day, six or seven days a week, and process nearly 150,000 pounds of laundry a week. Since deployment schedules may require Naval Ships to remain at
sea for sustained periods, it is imperative laundry operations remains at 100 percent capacity. The inability to provide efficient laundry service due to
equipment down time has a sever detrimental effect on ship's force morale. EDRO DynaWash® washer-extractors are predominant on both east and west coast air
craft carriers in addition to amphibious and surface combatants. To get more information on our 16, 20, 60, 100, 150 and 200-pound
