EDRO Expands Manufacturing |

December 15, 2003 -- EAST BERLIN, CT. The EDRO Corporation has expanded its metal fabrication and production facilities. The new machine fabrication center features CAE/CAM (Computer Aided Engineering / Computer Aided Manufacturing) technology, and enhances the manufacturing capability of the company. In addition to existing DNC (Digital Numeric Control) machinery, the new fabrication pieces are networked directly to the Engineering and Production Planning departments.
Engineering's three dimensional design software creates digital renditions of machines which are unfolded and broken down into the fabrication stage, then nested and processed in the new production facility. The company estimates it will save time in producing metal fabricated parts and components used downstream in the production process as well as improve overall machine quality.
