 EDRO Corp. Awarded Washer-Extractors on World's Largest Cruise Ship

June 15, 2001 -- EAST BERLIN, CT.  The EDRO Corporation announced today award of the laundry washer-extractors for the world's soon-to-be largest cruise ship, the Queen Mary II to be built by French shipyard Chantiers de l'Atlantique.  The new Cunard line ship will serve the transatlantic market with the widest variety of luxury amenities and facilities aboard any oceangoing vessel.  Coming in at an impressive 155,000 gross tons, the Queen Mary II is scheduled to be delivered in 2004 to Cunard.

The ship's main laundry feature new Water Reuse Ready EDRO DynaWash® washer-extractors with a through put capacity of over 3,300 pounds per hour.  The main laundry processes all table and bed linen on the ship, as well as bath towels, pool towels, ship's personnel uniforms and other miscellaneous goods.  The three pocket DynaWash® washer-extractors are preferred for this application due to their ability to minimize the tangling and bundling of linens, the quality wash results, and overall compact machine design.  "No other machine can produce the capacity that our DynaWash® models can in such limited space", commented Ed Kirejczyk, III vice-president, sales of EDRO Corporation.  "We are pleased with this order from Cunard line as it shows our washers' ability to satisfy the most demanding users", he added.
